2022 Holiday Trolley Hop

Free trolley rides to various merchants and cultural institutions in the Discovery District in downtown Columbus will be available to the public on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 12 to 4 PM.

This Discovery District Holiday Trolley Hop offers participants with unique holiday shopping options and fun activities for the kids. The event, in its 9th year, provides the perfect way to support and shop local.

This year’s hop starts at the Columbus Metropolitan Library Main Branch at 96 S. Grant Avenue or at the Columbus Museum of Art at 480 E. Board Street. Parking is available at both locations.

 

Information on the specific stops will be available November 3.

2021 Holiday Trolley Hop

8th Annual Discovery District Trolley Hop
The Discovery District’s Holiday Trolley Hop is back, offering participants the opportunity to take free trolley rides to visit various merchants and cultural institutions located in the eastern part of downtown. This year’s event will take place Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 12 PM to 4 PM. Last year the event was canceled due to the pandemic.

This year’s Holiday Trolley Hop offers participants adults with unique holiday shopping options and most stops will offer fun activities for the kids. 

This year’s hop starts at the Columbus Metropolitan Library Main Branch at 96 S. Grant Avenue or at Kelton House Museum & Garden at 586 E. Town Street. Parking is available at both locations.

Discovery District Summer Movie Series : NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM

The Discovery District Civic Association is bringing back its outdoor movie series this summer. This year’s movies will take place outside in the sculpture garden at the Columbus Museum of Art.

The movie series kicks off with “Night at the Museum,” on Friday, July 9th. The movies will begin at dusk (approximately 9 PM). Admission is free. So, grab a blanket and bring the family downtown.

Free parking is available in the museum’s adjacent parking lot on Gay Street and Washington Avenue.

Before the movie, enjoy dinner at Pat & Gracie’s, Domino’s Pizza or Pierogi Mountain. You can also stop by Hill’s Market Downtown to pick up snacks and refreshments.

The movie series is hosted by the Discovery District Civic Association and Discovery Special Improvement District with support from the Columbus Museum of Art.
